Bordeaux
We had half a day to spare before our schedule bus, so we briefly explored the infamous French city. After a few hours of driving, we arrived in the city around 10 in the morning.
Stockholm
I didn’t know much about Sweden or its culture except for Ikea and Swedish meatballs prior to my visit in Stockholm. I figured, I like Ikea’s design concepts (from a designers perspective) and I enjoyed their Swedish meatballs (unfortunately not wheat-free) as a child, so I assumed I’d like the culture there. When I researched more about gluten-free food prior to my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised that there were so many allergen-friendly restaurants and cafés! I had a full list of place I wanted to try, but at the same time, I was on a budget so for this trip, I planned a combination of dining-out and eating in.
Introduction
Maakfri is a space I created to document my wheat-free experiences, adaptation of traditionally non-wheat-free recipes and attempts at other wheat-free and gluten-free recipes shared by creators in the allergy-friendly community.
